Description

The first year post A-level course guides students to a level of competence where they can deal with most everyday life situations. Through a programme of written and oral seminars, they gain the skills to achieve Level B1on the Common European Framework, making them independent language users. Oral classes develop their ability to express themselves confidently and understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters and current topics. Written classes enhance their ability to comprehend a range of contemporary texts and to produce connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.
